In 1984, AGROSUPER began breeding and processing pork.
These products were marketed to various wholesaling markets. In 1997, AGROSUPER finally could pack its production with the brand: SUPER CERDO. As of this moment, SUPER CERDO gained a wide retail and consumer market sales. Therefore, AGROSUPER through its SUPER CERDO brand is the leader again, holding over 60% share of the pork market, as well as producing 298 thousand tons yearly, and selling some 639 million US Dollars. Pork breeding is in charge of AGRICOLA SUPER and AGRO TANTEHUE companies.
They have more than 2000 breeding pavilions, and a slaughtering plant located in the 6th Region too.
Its productive capacity exceeds 18 thousand tons per month, with slaughtering capacity of 400 pork per hour. Today, SUPER CERDO exports some 15,480 tons, mostly to Argentina and Japan. FAENADORA SUPER, and eventually FAENADORA DE ROSARIO (which is under building process nowadays) count with high technology and high levels of quality standards in the packing and conservation processes of pork. AGROSUPER COMERCIAL manages the products' marketing throughout a comprehensive distribution network composed by 28 terminals in the most important cities in Chile.
